Model developed includes
- Self study correspondence course is approved for 140 contact hours, which is equivalent to 14 Continuing Education Units
- Successful completion of clinical practicum provides an additional 160 hours (16 CEUs)
- You must complete the correspondence course prior to beginning the clinical practicum.
The Nurse Refresher program is for registered nurses (RNs) who have at some time been licensed in one of the 50 states.
Important Information
- You may enroll at anytime during the year. Fees must be paid in full at the time of enrollment
- Cost of the program is $480.00. Other fees will vary for malpractice insurance.
- You may proceed at your own pace through the self study modules with 9 months to complete them.
- You must pass the exam for each model with a grade of 80 percent.
- A refund of $380.00 will be made if you withdraw within 30 days of enrollment
How do I get started?
- You will need a valid nursing license. North Carolina is necessary.
- If you do not have a North Carolina license please contact the Board of Nursing at 919-782-3211.
- Contact your local RN Refresher Coordinator to set up an appointment to receive additional information and the application.
Complete the RN Refresher application with payment and mail to the Friday Center for Continuing Education, Chapel Hill, NC.
