The
Infectious Diseases rotation is a month long,
inpatient medicine elective rotation. The resident
will work closely with the ID physicians and the
Antimicrobial Stewardship Program Coordinator. The
resident will have the opportunity to round with the
ID consult service, monitor patients on that
service, and participate in the outpatient clinic.
As part of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program,
controlled and restricted antibiotics will be
reviewed daily and recommendations left to optimize
therapy regimens.
