Clinical Pharmacy Faculty


Southern Regional AHEC has an open position for a full-time Clinical Pharmacy Faculty member to join its SR-AHEC Family Medicine Residency Program in Fayetteville, NC. Qualified candidates will possess a Doctorate degree in Pharmacy from an accredited School of Pharmacy in the US. Must be board certified in Pharmacology or other specialty, or eligible to take examination. PGYI Pharmacy Residency Training from an ASHP accredited program or equivalent experience required. PGY2 Pharmacy Residency in Ambulatory Care preferred. Current licensure by the NC Board of Pharmacy or eligible to take examination required.


The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as teaching experience consistent with faculty-level appointment. Must be able to perform activities ranging from direct patient care and resident supervision to classroom teaching.


Responsible for providing training to family medicine residents, pharmacy residents and pharmacy students, as well as medical students, PA, and NP students. Serves as the ambulatory care pharmacist with the Family Medicine Clinic. Serves as attending pharmacist on the SR-AHEC Medicine Teaching Service at Cape Fear Valley Health System and as a liaison with the UNC School of Pharmacy.
