Assist customers with reference questions and mediated literature searches in a medical library. Create custom information resource lists for targeted groups. Train staff and students in the use of available clinical information resources and academic research databases.  Manage journal table of content alert emails. Requires strong interpersonal and communications skills, excellent organizational and record keeping skills, and working knowledge of computer applications and online meeting platforms.  Bachelor degree required.  Experience searching academic research databases is essential.  Work experience at a library reference desk and knowledge of medical terminology is highly desirable.  Work will be performed on site at SR-AHEC.  This position is part-time (18 hrs a week) until July 2023, at which point it will become a full-time  (40 hrs a week) position with expanded duties.  EOE


All Southern Regional AHEC employees must be vaccinated unless approved for medical/disability or religious exemption as determined by SR-AHEC consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, new hires must receive the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine prior to their first day of employment and must obtain the second dose within 30 days of the first dose.
