Southern Regional Area Health Education Center (SR-AHEC) in Fayetteville, NC seeks a Vice President of Finance and Administration. The person filling this position will support and advance SR-AHEC’s mission by leading and implementing SR-AHEC’s financial, administrative, and operational strategy. Responsible for providing leadership and overall management direction of activities related to finance, administration, and facilities operations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Position requires a graduate level degree in Business, Finance and/or Accounting. Minimum of five (5) years accounting or financial management experience performing similar functions, preferably in a non-profit or healthcare setting.
Demonstrated knowledge of non-profit corporate administration and financial operations necessary. Knowledge of federal, state and local laws pertaining to the administration and financial management of a non-profit organizational and physician practice preferred. Must possess skills in analyzing financial statements and preparing appropriate reports. Must possess strong leadership, negotiation, communication, problem solving, project management, and analytical skills. Proficiency in MS office environment and accounting software. Experience in successful strategic planning and execution; effective presentation of information and ideas to executive team and Board of Trustees. Track record of building and coaching strong, productive teams in a collaborative environment.
SR-AHEC is one of nine Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) in North Carolina. Each of the nine AHECs is affiliated with a medical school (within NC) and is a member of the NC AHEC Program. SR-AHEC is proudly affiliated with Duke University Medical Center. We support our medical residency and continuing education programs by: training family physicians and other healthcare professionals; providing primary health care for families in Cumberland County and surrounding areas through our Duke/Family Medicine Residency Program; coordinating rotations for 3rd and 4th year medical students; delivering continuing professional educational and healthcare professional; and working collaboratively with education and health-oriented organizations in our region to improve healthcare.
