The Southern Regional AHEC Family Medicine Residency program is an 8-8-8 community-based, university-affiliated program accredited by the ACGME with Osteopathic Recognition. Our integrated approach to patient care and resident education well prepares our graduates for full scope practice in Family Medicine. Whether your passion lies in traditional hospital or ambulatory medicine, urgent or emergent care, academic or community medicine, this program will fuel that passion with a variety of encounters and experiences and prepare you for the future practice you envision.

Medical students are an integral part of our program. Learning and training alongside our residents and faculty providers, students who rotate here boast of our collegial learning environment, supportive faculty and exposure to a broad variety of encounters and pathologies. We encourage 4th year medical students/future Family Physicians to take advantage of our opportunities for audition rotations.
