1. SMS Consent and Communication
By opting in, you consent to receive SMS messages from Southern Regional AHEC. Your phone number and consent information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
2. Types of SMS Communications
If you opt in, you may receive messages related to:
• Appointment Reminders
Example: “Your appointment is scheduled for [date and time].”
• Account Updates
Example: “Your balance is past due.”
• Office Closures
Example: “Reminder: The office will close early on Friday, January 10th, at 1 PM.”
3. Message Frequency
Message frequency may vary depending on the type of communication. For example, you may receive up to 1–2 SMS messages per week regarding appointments or account updates.
4. Potential SMS Fees
Standard message and data rates may apply according to your carrier’s plan. Fees may vary for domestic and international messages.
5. Opt-In Method
You can opt in to receive SMS messages through the intake forms in our patient portal: URL . Your consent will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
6. Opt-Out Method
You can opt out at any time by:
• Replying “STOP” to any SMS message
• Contacting us directly to request removal from our SMS list at (910) 678-0100.
If you do not wish to receive SMS messages, simply do not check the SMS consent box on our intake forms.
