JOIN US FOR OUR WOMEN IN MEDICINE SYMPOSIUM!
Friday, March 04, 2022
Cape Fear Valley Health System and Southern Regional AHEC are excited to recognize the contributions of women physicians to the health of our communities and to advancing the system of care. Gender disparities in mentoring, leadership, income, and personal health are significant for women in medicine. The inequities rooted in structural barriers and systemic racism further exacerbate the challenges for physicians who are women of color. This conference explores how women physicians in the Sandhills are addressing professional obstacles and community health inequities through leadership, education, and advocacy as well as serving as models to erase the stigma of addressing physician mental health and well-being.
