Good nutrition is essential for good health. Along with other specialized integrated services offered to our primary care patients, The Family Medicine Center now provides a registered dietitian/nutritionist to help guide patients in making healthy choices about the food they eat.

Whether patients are looking to manage their weight, get better control of chronic conditions, or suffer from food allergies, one-on-one counseling by a registered dietitian/nutritionist provides individualized care. It can also lead to improved treatment outcomes and leads to longer, healthier lives.

We offer Medical Nutrition Therapy and education for patients with a wide variety of medical conditions. Services available include, but are not limited to:

• Diabetes
• Obesity/Weight Management
• Hypertension
• Elevated cholesterol and triglycerides
• Congestive Health Failure
• Digestive disorders
• Food allergies
• Chronic Kidney Disease /ESRD
• Unintentional weight loss/poor appetite
• Pregnancy Nutrition
• Enteral Nutrition Support (Tube feeding)

Current patients are eligible for this new service through a referral from their primary care physician in The Family Medicine Center. Our registered dietitian also accepts outside referrals.
