Southern Regional AHEC is actively recruiting for a Registered/Certified Medical Assistant to support the Population Health Department in administrative duties focused on patient outreach dedicated to improving quality and preventive-care performance across patient populations. Core responsibilities include conducting patient outreach, closing care gaps, coordinating screenings and appointments, supporting quality metric reviews, and documenting follow-up to advance data-driven population health and quality improvement initiatives. While the role is partially non-clinical, the position also provides clinical care coverage for multiple specialties as needed, requiring recent experience in specialty clinic settings. Strong organizational, communication, and customer-service skills are essential, particularly for phone-based patient engagement. Medical Assistant certification with at least two years of relevant experience is preferred. . EOE.
